SB 519 - If a pharmacist is unable to obtain refill authorization from a prescriber, the amount of the prescription dispensed shall be limited to the amount determined by the pharmacist within his or her professional judgment as needed for the emergency period, except the amount dispensed shall not exceed a ninety-day, instead of a seven-day, supply. This act additionally provides that in the event of the death or incapacity of a prescriber or inability of a prescriber to provide medical services, the amount dispensed shall not exceed a ninety-day, instead of a thirty-day, supply.
