This bill requires the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to create a cost-sharing agreement for parental leave expenses. The agreement may be entered into with a school district or charter school and must provide for 12 weeks of parental leave to be provided with costs to be shared between the school district or charter school and the State of Missouri.
The bill specifies the requirements of the parental leave and DESE must make rules to establish participation and reimbursement.
