SB 219 - Currently, the practice of optometry does not include the provision of surgical procedures, including the use of lasers, and does not include the use of injectable agents. Under this act, the practice of optometry shall include the use of injectable agents for the purpose of treatment of the eye and adnexa and shall include surgical procedures, except as otherwise specified and limited by the Board of Optometry.

This act is similar to SB 956 (2024) and HB 1963 (2024).
