HB 187 -- MEDICATIONS GIVEN TO PATIENTS AT DISCHARGE

This bill allows medications in multi-dose containers that were administered to or used for a patient during a hospital stay to be sent with the patient at discharge. The medication must be labeled. Controlled substances cannot be sent with the patient, with some exceptions for on-body medication delivery systems or controlled substance infusions.

This bill is the same as HB 1586 (2024).
