COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "Do Pass" by the Special Committee on Tourism by a vote of 12 to 0. Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Rules-Legislative by a vote of 10 to 0.

This bill establishes the "PFC Byron Lea Brown Memorial Highway" on that portion of State Highway A from Hopewell Church Road continuing east to State Highway 161 in Montgomery County.

The Department of Transportation will erect and maintain appropriate signs with the costs to be paid by the Department of Transportation.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this is just one way we can honor and remember the life of an American hero.

Testifying in person for the bill was Representative Sassmann.

OPPONENTS: Those who oppose the bill say that we shouldn't honor one military hero over the thousands of other Missouri military heroes.
