This bill designates the bridge on State Highway WW that crosses over the railroad in the city of Poplar Bluff in Butler County as the "Senator Bill Foster Bridge".
The Department of Transportation will erect and maintain appropriate signs with the costs to be paid by private donations.
This bill is the same as HB 1407 (2024).
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that Bill Foster was a decent man and dedicated public servant who was always helping people. We should name the crossing after him because he spent a lot of time and effort to have that built to help people get across the railroad tracks.
Testifying in person for the bill was Representative Billington.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
