This resolution proposes a Constitutional amendment that no new tax imposed by state statute will go into effect, or continue in effect if otherwise set to expire, without prior approval at a statewide general election.
Notwithstanding any other provision of the Constitution, this resolution further proposes that no state funds will be expended without first being appropriated by the General Assembly.
This bill is similar to HJR 84 (2024) and HJR 16 (2023) .
