This bill requires taxicab owners to maintain liability insurance. The minimum coverage requirements are specified in the bill. The taxicab owner can insure the taxicab driver, the taxicab company, or both. If a taxicab owner fails to maintain liability insurance, the taxicab owner is guilty of a misdemeanor.
