HB 2904 -- VOTER REGISTRATION

SPONSOR: Gregory

This bill provides that a person's voter registration will expire on the same date as the person's drivers license.

If a different form of identification was used in order to register to vote, the person's voter registration will expire six years after the date of registration.

The bill also provides that a person may register to vote with an expired Missouri drivers license, if the license expired within 60 days of the date the person is registering to vote.

Currently, a voter may vote with an expired form of photo identification if the document expired after the date of the most recent general election. This bill changes the length of time the document may be expired to six months.
