Currently, the Department of Health and Senior Services is required to conduct at least one inspection per year for all residential care facilities, assisted living facilities, intermediate care facilities, and skilled nursing facilities, including those attached to acute care hospitals, that are licensed by the department or that have filed an application to be licensed by the department.
This bill changes the number of required inspections from once per year to twice per year.
