HB 2820 -- FUNERAL ATTENDANCE BY AN OFFENDER

This bill creates a process whereby offenders may be granted leave to attend a funeral. The funeral must be for an immediate family member of the offender, as defined in the bill, the offender must be escorted by a correctional officer or member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the offender must pay for any costs associated with attendance.

This bill is similar to HB 2688 (2022).
