ll HB 2795 -- SALES TAXES FOR PUBLIC SAFETY PURPOSES

This bill authorizes any city with more that 2,150 but fewer than 2,400 inhabitants and located in a county with more than 700,000 but fewer than 800,000 inhabitants, upon voter approval, to impose a sales tax of up to .05% for the purpose of improving the public safety of the city, limited to expenditures on equipment, salaries and benefits, and facilities for police, fire, and emergency medical providers.

Upon enactment, the bill adds the City of Lake Lotawana.
