HB 2572 -- ELIGIBILITY FOR SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE

This bill establishes the "Child Poverty Reduction Act of 2024".

The bill requires the Department of Social Services to ensure that individuals are cooperating with the Child Support Enforcement Program as a condition of eligibility for participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), as provided under Federal regulation.

During any month in which a person is delinquent in any payment due under a court order for child support, as provided under Federal regulation, he or she will shall be disqualified from receiving SNAP benefits.
