This bill changes the definitions of "adult" and "child" as used in Chapter 455, RSMo, related to orders of protection. "Adult" is defined as someone 18 years of age or older, increased from 17, and "child" is defined as someone under 18 years of age, increased from 17.
This bill is the same as HB 994 (2023).
