Currently, board members for streetlight maintenance districts are elected at the general state elections. This bill moves the election for these positions to the general municipal election.
Provisions are made for the staggered transfer of these six year terms from the November election to the April election, beginning with the first general municipal election after August 28, 2025 and ending with the fifth general municipal election after August 28, 2025.
This bill is the same as SB 1045 (2024).
