HJR 114 -- GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SPONSOR: Lonsdale

Currently, there are 163 members in the Missouri House of Representatives. Upon voter approval, this resolution reduces that number to 102, beginning with the 107th General Assembly, specifying that each State Senate district shall wholly contain three state House of Representative districts.

This resolution also modifies term limits. Currently no person can serve more than eight years in either chamber of the General Assembly. This resolution removes this, replacing it with a 16 year total limit regardless of chamber.

This bill is the same as SJR 70 (2024).
