Currently, there is a 10-year statute of limitation on any action for damages for personal injury caused to an individual by a person within the 3rd degree by blood or marriage who subjects the individual to sexual contact. This bill specifies that, the statute of limitation applies when the injury is caused to an individual who is 18 years old or older by any person who subjects the individual to sexual conduct.
