COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "Do Pass by Consent" by the Standing Committee on Utilities by a vote of 13 to 0. Voted "Do Pass- Consent" by the Standing Committee on Consent and House Procedure by a vote of 7 to 0.

Currently the Small Wireless Facility Deployment Act expires on January, 1, 2025. This bill repeals the expiration date for the Act.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the Small Wireless Facility Deployment Act was a compromise between the municipalities and the telecommunications industry and the program is working well. This bill would remove the sunset and provide a stable framework for the continued deployment of the technology.

Testifying in person for the bill were Representative Perkins; Missouri Public Utility Alliance; City Utilities of Springfield; AT&T; T-Mobile; Missouri Chamber of Commerce; Missouri Municipal League; and Verizon.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
