HB 1994 -- MISSOURI BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION

This bill creates the "Missouri Bureau of Investigation", as a division within the Missouri Attorney General's Office. The Missouri Bureau of Investigation will have full power and authority to investigate crimes of any nature. The Director of the Bureau will be appointed by the Attorney General, subject to confirmation by the Senate, and will initiate investigations at the request of the Attorney General or at the request of any chief of police, prosecuting attorney, or sheriff, or the Superintendent of the State Highway Patrol.
