This bill reduces the maximum time during which a term of probation for a misdemeanor is conditional and subject to revocation from two years to 18 months, and applies this limit to municipal ordinance violations.
The bill also prohibits a private probation service from requiring an alcohol or drug test unless a person is on probation for an offense that involved alcohol or drugs.
This bill is the same as HB 276 (2023).
