This bill adds clarification language to Sections 210.160 and 455.504, RSMo, to ensure that a guardian ad litem appointed by the court will receive fees for service. Such fees may be charged to a party of the proceeding or be received from public funds; however, no fees may be charged against a party who has not been found to have committed an offense if such an offense was the purpose of the order of protection.
This bill is similar to HB 841 (2023) and the same as HB 2651 (2022).
