SS/SB 739 - Under the act, the Department of Natural Resources shall not issue a permit for the operation of a solid waste disposal area located in the city of Kansas City without receiving approval from an adjoining municipality if such area is located within one mile of the municipality, instead of one-half mile as in the current law. This act is substantially similar to SCS/SB 590 (2023) and HCS/HB 909 (2023).
