HB 1614 -- REPEAL OF MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT BELT REQUIREMENT

This bill repeals the requirement that drivers and front-seat passengers of motor vehicles and persons less than 18 years of age operating or riding in trucks as defined by law wear a safety belt.

Child passenger restraint systems and booster seats still are required as provided by law for children under the age of 16 years.
