HB 1547 -- VISIBLE BALLOTS

SPONSOR: Adams

This bill repeals the provision that prohibits a voter from allowing his or her ballot to be seen by another with the intent to show how the voter voted.

The bill creates a class one election offense for coercing or pressuring a voter to vote in a certain manner and attempting to obtain photo evidence of the voter's ballot.

This bill is the same as HB 140 (2023) and HB 2092 (2022).
