HB 1493 -- LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES

This bill removes "long-term care facilities" from the definition of "Health Care Provider" in Chapter 538, RSMo. The Chapter creates a statutory cause of action for damages against health care providers based on improper health care. Under the provisions of this bill, long term care facilities would not be subject to the statutory cause of action created under this Chapter.

This bill is the same as HB 128 (2023) and HB 1561 (2022).
