Currently, the county party committee districts in Jackson County are multi-member districts organized by wards and townships.
This bill requires the election authority to redistrict the county party committee districts after each legislative reapportionment. Each state representative district wholly contained within the county will be divided into two, multi-member county party committee districts, each being represented by one man and one woman. The districts shall be contiguous, as compact and equal in population as possible, and wholly incorporating as many political subdivisions as possible.
