Currently, the county party committee districts in Jackson County are multi-member districts organized by wards and townships.
This bill requires the election authority to redistrict the county party committee districts after each legislative reapportionment. Each state senate district wholly contained within the county will be divided into 10, multi-member county party committee districts, each being represented by one man and one woman. The districts shall be contiguous, as compact and equal in population as possible, and wholly incorporate as many political subdivisions as possible.
