This bill prohibits disclosure of any personally identifiable information regarding any child receiving child care from a provider or applying for or receiving any services through a state program.
The bill does not prohibit any state agency from disclosing personally identifiable information to governmental entities or its agents, vendors, and contractors relating to its official duties, nor does it prevent a parent or legal guardian from accessing the parent's or legal guardian's child's records.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this bill will protect the personal information of children from public exposure and close loopholes in the law.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
