The Senate resolution commends Officer Jeff Brown for his dedicated 30 years of service in law enforcement as he prepares for retirement. Jeff began his career in 1995 with the Champlin Police Department as a reserve officer and later served as a police officer with both the Minnetrista and Champlin Police Departments. Throughout his career, he held various roles, including D.A.R.E. officer, school resource officer, and field training officer, and was actively involved in community outreach programs aimed at promoting safety and awareness, such as the Hennepin County Golden Seat Belt Challenge.
In addition to his law enforcement duties, Jeff played a significant role in community engagement by organizing the Police Citizens Academy and leading the Champlin Police Chaplain Corps. As he transitions into retirement, Jeff looks forward to pursuing hobbies like bow hunting and working on muscle cars, as well as spending quality time with his family. The resolution expresses gratitude for his contributions to the community and wishes him well in his future endeavors, with a retirement ceremony scheduled for July 11 at the Champlin Police Department.
