The bill proposes an appropriation of $5,000,000 from the general fund for fiscal year 2027 to support Twin Cities Public Television. The funds are designated for leasing property in St. Louis Park and for the predesign, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of an interactive, immersive multimedia experience museum in the same city.

The release of these funds is contingent upon the commissioner of management and budget confirming that an equivalent amount of $5,000,000 in nonstate funds has been secured for the project. This appropriation is a one-time allocation and will remain available until the project is either completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
