The bill proposes a capital investment to expand the Essentia Wellness Center located in Hermantown, Minnesota. It appropriates $10,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city. The funds will be used for designing, constructing, furnishing, and equipping the expansion, which will include enhancements to licensed child care facilities, additional space for senior programming and community wellness activities, as well as necessary infrastructure improvements such as site work, utilities, parking, and building systems.
