The bill appropriates $11,000,000 from the bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for various improvements to marked Trunk Highway 7, which runs through the cities of Chanhassen, Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Minnetonka, Minnetrista, Shorewood, and St. Bonifacius. The funds will be used for predesign, design, engineering, environmental analysis and remediation, property acquisition, including easements, and construction, in conjunction with planned highway maintenance.

To finance this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $11,000,000. The bonds will be sold in accordance with Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution, with the proceeds, excluding accrued interest and any premiums, deposited back into the bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund. The bill is set to take effect the day following its final enactment.
