This bill appropriates $3,000,000 from the general fund for fiscal year 2027 to the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The funds are designated for site selection and property acquisition for a new services and supports facility in Minneapolis. The facility will include a dedicated food shelf and youth programming space, and the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches may collaborate with Southside Community Health Services for the use of the space. This appropriation is a one-time allocation and will remain available until the project is completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.

Additionally, the bill includes a provision stating that it will take effect the day following its final enactment.
