This bill appropriates $2,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to Washington County. The funds are designated for improvements at the intersection of County State Aid Highway 10, County State Aid Highway 17, and County Road 17B in the city of Lake Elmo. The improvements will focus on traffic control, drainage and runoff management, as well as enhancements for pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $2,000,000 to finance the appropriation. The provisions for the bond sale will follow the guidelines set forth in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The bill is set to take effect the day after it is enacted.
