Additionally, the bill specifies that the reduction in benefits will occur annually until the member reaches normal retirement age, with different calculations based on the member's years of service. It also clarifies that certain paragraphs regarding benefit reductions do not apply to members receiving total and permanent disability benefits. The effective date of this amendment is the day following its final enactment.
