This bill appropriates $10,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of public safety for a grant to the city of Cass Lake. The funds are designated for the construction, furnishing, and equipping of a new fire station facility, which will replace the existing fire hall. The new facility is intended to enhance firefighter health and safety by including living and administration space, vehicle and equipment storage, and a decontamination area.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $10,000,000 to finance the appropriation. The bond sale will be conducted in accordance with the relevant Minnesota Statutes and the state constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day following its final enactment.
