The Minnesota Senate has passed a resolution honoring Mayor Dave Bartholomay of Circle Pines for his extensive career in public service, which spans nearly 25 years, including 20 years as mayor. His tenure began after serving four years on the City Council, and he has held various leadership roles, including positions on the Centennial Lakes Police Governing Board and the Centennial Utilities Commission. Bartholomay has also contributed to state-level organizations, such as the Minnesota Council on Local Results and Innovation, and has received several accolades, including the prestigious C.C. Ludwig Award for his vision and commitment to public service.

As mayor, Bartholomay played a significant role in enhancing the community, notably through a strategic plan that earned Circle Pines recognition as one of the best suburbs in America in 2011. He was instrumental in maintaining the Anoka County Library within the city and advocating for its renovation. Recently, he announced that he will not seek reelection and will complete his term at the end of the year. The resolution expresses gratitude for his dedicated service and congratulates him on his upcoming retirement.
