This bill proposes the creation of Distinguished Flying Cross special license plates in Minnesota, specifically for recipients of the Distinguished Flying Cross. The commissioner of transportation is tasked with issuing these plates to qualified applicants who are registered owners of certain types of vehicles and comply with existing registration laws. The application for these plates can only be made during vehicle registration renewal or initial registration, and only one set of plates will be issued per applicant.

The design of the plates will feature the Distinguished Flying Cross medal and the phrase "DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS."
