This bill appropriates $25,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of St. Paul. The funds are designated for the predesign, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of renovations at the Science Museum of Minnesota, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.695.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $25,000,000 to provide the necessary funding. The bond issuance will follow the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
