His contributions also include overseeing the development of the Mississippi Crossings Event Center and securing over $30 million in public investment for various community improvements.

In addition to his administrative roles, Bret has actively participated in several community boards and task forces, including the Anoka-Champlin Fire Board and the Ice Arena Task Force.
