This bill appropriates $1,500,000 from the bond proceeds account in the state transportation fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to Douglas County. The funds are designated for the preliminary engineering and final design of an interchange at the intersection of Interstate Highway 94 and Douglas County State-Aid Highway 17.

To facilitate this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $1,500,000. The bond sale will be conducted in accordance with existing Minnesota statutes and constitutional provisions. The bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
