Additionally, if a law enforcement agency denies access to the unredacted data due to a compelling reason, they are required to provide a prompt written explanation to the requester, detailing the reason for the denial and informing them of their right to seek relief from the district court. This amendment aims to balance transparency in collision investigations with the need to protect sensitive information and ongoing investigations.
