This bill appropriates $11,000,000 from the general fund for fiscal year 2026 to the commissioner of employment and economic development. The funds are designated for a grant to Minnesota Independence College and Community, a nonprofit organization, to support the predesign, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a specialized education and training facility in Richfield. This facility aims to provide education and training services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, as well as administrative space for staff. The appropriation will remain available until the project is either completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.

Additionally, the bill includes a provision stating that it will take effect the day following its final enactment.
