This bill appropriates $250,000 from the general fund for fiscal year 2026 to the commissioner of employment and economic development. The funds are designated for a grant to the Lake Superior Community Health Center to predesign and design a regional, multipurpose health and wellness center in western Duluth. The center aims to serve as a community hub for health and wellness programming and services. This appropriation is a one-time allocation and will remain available until the project is either completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.

Additionally, the bill includes a provision stating that the section will take effect the day following its final enactment.
