This bill appropriates $17,900,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Traverse County. The funds are designated for the demolition of the existing county courthouse in Wheaton and for the predesign, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a new courthouse at the same location.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $17,900,000 to provide the necessary funding. The bond sale will be conducted in accordance with Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day following its final enactment.
