This bill appropriates $7,300,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Breckenridge. The funds are designated for the design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a new community center. Additionally, the city is authorized to enter into a lease or management agreement for the operation of the community center, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.695.

To finance this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $7,300,000. The bond sale will be conducted in accordance with the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and the relevant provisions of the Minnesota Constitution. The effective date of this section is the day following its final enactment.
