This bill appropriates $1,500,000 from the arts and cultural heritage fund for the fiscal year 2026 to support the Mixtape Strategy, aimed at preserving and revitalizing the historic Black neighborhood of Camdentown in Minneapolis. The funds will be allocated to the commissioner of administration for a grant specifically designated for the development of a cultural hub at a property located at 44th Avenue North.

The cultural hub will feature community gathering spaces and will focus on fostering collaboration and innovation by empowering small, diverse businesses within the area. This initiative is intended to enhance the cultural landscape and support the local community through targeted investment in its heritage and economic development.
