This bill amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256B.76, by adding a new subdivision that focuses on long-term ambulatory electrocardiogram monitoring services. It defines these services as the provision of external cardiac patch monitoring devices for patients to wear for 48 hours or more, along with the interpretation of the data collected to identify potential heart arrhythmias that could lead to serious health issues.

Additionally, the bill mandates that, effective January 1, 2026, or upon federal approval, diagnostic testing facilities providing these services must be reimbursed at 100 percent of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule rate or higher. The new provisions are set to take effect the day after the bill is enacted.
