The bill appropriates $12,500,000 from the general fund for the Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota, located in Mankato. This funding is designated for a variety of capital improvements, including the predesign, design, construction, renovation, furnishing, and equipping of the museum. Specific projects funded by this appropriation include a new building expansion, renovations to existing exhibit spaces, and the creation of an outdoor nature play area. The funds will be available until the project is either completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642, and this is a one-time appropriation.
