The bill appropriates $1,500,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of natural resources for accessibility and rehabilitation improvements to the Gitchi-Gami State Trail. This funding will support enhancements at the Flood Bay State Wayside and additional projects along the trail connecting Gooseberry Falls State Park and Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.

To finance this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $1,500,000, following the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
